This was possibly my most relaxed trip so far. Often when travelling, I have so many different places I want to see but Amsterdam was a much needed break. We were there for four days, which meant there was time to just wander the city, eat, drink and unwind. I am in love with this city, from it’s stunning buildings that are decorated with plants, to the wonderful people I met who were just so friendly. I do love visiting cities like Paris and Bath, but Amsterdam felt so more more accessible to me, the food wasn’t over priced and both the interior and fashion were very much my style. It felt like the type of place that was good for more than just a break away, I could definitely see myself living there. We stayed by a canal on the cutest little street and our room was upgraded to a large, beautiful apartment over two floors with large windows. Every morning we bought fresh rhubarb muffins and coconut macaroons from Stach Organic Bakery and sat outside watching people go by. We were there during SAIL Amsterdam boat festival, so the streets were packed with people. There was a street music festival too, so in the evening we sat by the canals drinking wine and watching the boats whilst listening to music.
